5-oz Gatorade Cups
Our smallest size, these disposable Gatorade cups hold 5 fl oz (148 ml). They feature a 2 1/2 inch diameter mouth, a 1 3/4 inch diameter base and are 2 3/4 inches tall. Their small size makes them the ideal cup for the drink stations at your next race.
Packaged in 100-count wax paper sleeves, we offer them in full cases, half cases and quarter cases. A full case contains 25 100-count sleeves for a total of 2500 cups, a half case contains 12 100-count sleeves for a total of 1200 cups and a quarter case contains 6 100-count sleeves for a total of 600 cups.
These small sized cups are an obvious choice for marathons where participants have to drink on the run. However, they’re also well suited for the worksite. Larger cups often lead to product waste as the contents get warm in high temperature environments. With smaller cups, workers are able to refill as needed with ice cold Gatorade fresh from the cooler.
The Ironman Ten Yard Crawl
The first Ironman triathlon was held in 1978 with its trademarked line: "Swim 2.4 miles! Bike 112 miles! Run 26.2 miles! Brag for the rest of your life.”
However, it was a 10 yard crawl in 1982 that inspired many to join the ranks of the triathletes. With the sport gaining attention in the likes of Sports Illustrated, a college student name Julie Moss entered the contest as part of a research project.
Although she led for most of the race, she became severely dehydrated towards the end. With only ten yards to go, she collapsed and crawled towards the finish line only to be passed by Kathleen McCartney. After more than eleven grueling hours, Julie Moss loss the race by 29 seconds, but won the hearts of all who watched.
